Borderline Personality Disorder

& Attachment Trauma

What You’re Noticing

  • Intense emotions that feel out of control or disproportionate

  • Pervasive fear of abandonment and efforts to avoid it

  • Unstable relationships with partners, family, and friends

  • Engagement in risky behaviours, suicidality, or self injury

  • Chronic feelings of emptiness or dissociation

  • Rapidly changing sense of self and personal identity

  • History of trauma, especially involving a primary caregiver

  • Difficulty trusting others, even when you want to

  • Shifting between idealizing and withdrawing from others

I work with clients who have a formal diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as those who are exploring the possibility of BPD or recognize some of the associated symptoms. A diagnosis is not required to begin therapy.

How Therapy Can Help

  • Map attachment history and recognize current attachment patterns

  • Understand how personal, family, and societal contexts influence you today

  • Identify dominant narratives that shape your emotions and relationships

  • Experience and process your emotional pain in a safe, grounded environment

  • Build skills for regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and staying present

  • Develop personalized strategies for interrupting reactive cycles

  • Improve communication and boundary setting skills that support relationships
